FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading unit) vessel, with a length of 318 m, beam of 54 m and storage capacity of 1.7 million barrels of crude.

Challenge:

Produce 60,000 l/day of technical and potable water using the service steam available on the ship as the heat source.

Solution:

To take full advantage of evaporation performance, even at low temperatures, a Gefico model AQ-60/2 dual stage evaporator is used. To make the water obtained fit for human consumption, a Gefico mineralising filter, model MHF-5000, is fitted.
